A Day - First Year Students/ B Day - Second Year Students
This program is a two-year course for students who are interested in working with children. This program is an exploration of all aspects of child growth and development from birth through age twelve. Students engage in rigorous coursework to include theories of child development, psychology, and sociology, as well as develop skills and knowledge in health and safety, child growth and development, guidance and discipline, social and emotional growth, cognitive development, and curriculum development. This program involves an on site preschool facility where students gain work experience in all areas of the preschool. Students will be prepared for post-secondary education for professions working with children, such as teaching, social work and psychology fields. First year students attend the program on A Days, while second year students attend on B Days. The program offers:
